Have situational examples prepared
Practice
Become familiar with typical interview questions
Have someone you trust quiz you
Punctuality
Make sure you know how to get to the location of the interview
Always arrive at least 15 minutes early
Professionalism
Dress to impress but not over the top
Be clean and well-groomed
Presentation
Take a moment to think before you speak
Remember to speak slowly and with confidence
Keep answers brief and be natural
Politeness
Be gracious and friendly to everyone you see including the front desk person
Remember to send a thank you note or email to everyone you interview with

At the opposite end of the spectrum, schools with the strongest student growth will receive some type of recognition and reward. The recognition could play a valuable role in spotlighting schools that “beat the poverty odds” and building public confidence that high goals really are in reach even for students who have often been allowed to underperform.
